I grew up in Southwest Ohio and finding Arrowheads in creek beds was not entirely unusual. I understood that it was History and a Special Thing, mostly because my Grandfather was a history buff. He made sure my brother and I understood that sort of thing. My Appreciation for those artifacts and that history didn't come to me until much later, when I moved away from home and realized just how special experiences like that were.
